The source, who did not wish to be named, added, ‘They are still a close family. Sophie and PM are focused on raising their children in a safe and supportive environment. Their families will spend the holidays together starting from next week.’ According to Reuters, Trudeau’s father and former Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Trudeau, divorced his wife Margaret in 1977.
